Groundbreaking for Guardian Angels’ new community cornerstone, Engel Haus

Monday, October 21st, 2013

Guardian Angels broke ground on the site of their newest project in Albertville, Minnesota — Engel Haus Senior Living Community.

We had a mission when we we approached Pope Architects with this idea of a community in Albertville. It has to be German. This is a strong Catholic community. And it has to be a community cornerstone. This project really meets all three of those ideas,” said Dan Dixon at the ceremony.

Engel Haus is the German term for “Angel House”. The new community is designed to fit the area’s German/Bavarian heritage and culture. Phase 1 is a 63,000 sq. ft. senior living facility that features 65 units, including assisted living, memory care, and apartment homes.

Ward Isaacson from Pope Architects couldn’t have described it better when quoted in the St. Michael Patch, “It’s the people who will make this house a home for their future. And we think it fits the community very well.

The groundbreaking event featured the entire team, Guardian Angels, Kraus-Anderson and Pope Architects, as well as local representatives from the City of Albertville and Wright County.
