Hearts & Hammers: Giving Back & Building Community

Tuesday, September 13th, 2022

This past week, Pope staff spent the day supporting a local non-profit, Hearts & Hammers, to help a local neighbor restore the exterior of their home.

Each year, employees look forward to participating in this event to support Hearts & Hammers’ mission and strengthen our local community through an annual event.

Through power washing, painting, and completing various repairs, the crew was able to update and preserve the home’s exterior. A big thanks to all of the helping hands that made this possible!

The mission of Hearts & Hammers –Twin Cities is to provide exterior home improvement assistance for Senior Citizens, Disabled Individuals, and Veterans of the United States Armed Forces or their Surviving Spouse so that they may continue living independently.

Hearts & Hammers assists local, low income homeowners whose exterior of their homes is deteriorating and may even be in danger of losing their homes. Hearts & Hammers restores and preserves the home so that they can safely stay in their affordable home. They do this by managing the project start-to-finish which includes scoping the project, gathering supplies and volunteers to complete the work.
